Grounds Help Critical Need - Do you love the outdoors? Are you handy with a lawn mower and edging? John needs a weekly volunteer to help maintain our grounds this summer. JOIN A VOLUNTEER TEAM

• THE WARM & WELCOMING VOLUNTEER TEAM meets Wednesday /September 7 at 10 am. An Clubhouse Tour training will follow this meeting. Join this volunteer team to learn how you can assist in greeting and helping make our clubhouse warm and friendly for all members and guests. Several needs will be presented including Information Booth needs, clubhouse event needs, greeting visiting groups, and much more.
  
• THE GARDEN/GROUNDS VOLUNTEER TEAM meets Tuesday August 20 at 9:30am. Followed by working in the gardens from 10am-Noon. Join us as John Brott, House and Grounds Manager shares the needs of the spring and summer garden/grounds schedule. Several needs will be introduced including directing a visiting group as they work in the gardens and grounds and looking for volunteers to lead workshops in harvesting fruit and vegetables from our grounds and teaching healthy ways to utilize them in meals.
• THE 10th ANNIVERSARY VOLUNTEER TEAM – Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids celebrates our 10th anniversary March 2011. This team of volunteers will be crucial in helping us meet the needs of ALL that is planned for a week in March. Details will unfold in the next several months.

Saturday July 31 – Herman Miller Softball Game located at the Allendale Softball Fields – 6672 Lake Michigan Dr Allendale 49401. Event runs 8a-4p. Two shifts available - 8a-Noon or Noon -4p. Umpires are needed, Supervise Kids Games and help with the Silent Auction is still needed.

11:30am-6pm–                Event Volunteers– Minimum age of 21
                                        College Students who are quick in math NEEDED
4:30-6:30pm -                 6-8 Volunteers needed to tear down event – Tents, tables, trash, signage, sweep streets.
         This is a very fun, fast paced, lively outdoor event. Great Group Volunteer Experience!!!
