To serve the thousands of members who rely on our cancer and grief emotional health support each year, we host numerous events that celebrate our members, educate the community, showcase the unique support services we provide and sometimes raise critical funds for our free program. Whether you’re looking to put the FUN in fundraising or learn more about our support community, there’s something for everyone.

Help ensure no one has to navigate cancer or grief on their own. The West Side Walk is a community wide display of support for Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids. While there is no fee to register, friends, families and coworkers who walk alongside each other are encouraged to fundraise for Gilda’s FREE cancer and grief program. Read More We recently hosted our 10th Annual West Side Walk for Gilda’s on Saturday, September 28. Save to date to join us at next year’s walk on Saturday, September 27.

Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids recently hosted our Halloween Noogiefest. This event invites all children and their families in community to a FREE Halloween spooktacular afternoon of fun. Halloween Noogiefest is open to the public and kids of all ages and their families can participate in friendly ghoulish games, crafts, activities and enjoy creepy cuisine. Gilda’s LaughFest, the nation’s first-ever community-wide festival of laughter, has quickly earned a reputation for being one of the nation’s marquee events for both participants and artists. LaughFest was created by Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and launched in March 2011 to celebrate laughter for the health of it, the festival features stand-up, improv, showcases and a variety of seriously funny stuff. A FREE annual day camp for children ages 5-11 impacted by cancer or grief, Camp Sparkle brings together children journeying life’s tough stuff to explore ways of coping with cancer or grief that support overall emotional health.
