At Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, we know that a cancer diagnosis affects the whole family and network of friends. It can be a very difficult emotional journey that no one should go through alone.
Whether recently diagnosed, currently in treatment, or post-treatment, we offer programs for individuals and their network at all stages of the journey. Sharing your cancer journey with others – whether personally diagnosed or impacted through the diagnosis of another – makes travelling the path a little easier.
For Those Living with Cancer
Each month we offer numerous cancer support groups and workshops specifically designed to provide emotional support to individuals living with cancer. Weekly cancer support groups meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays and specific cancer groups meet at various times and days throughout the month.
For Family & Friends
As a caregiver, family member, or friend, we know how important it is for you to support those you care about on their cancer journey. We offer a weekly support group on Tuesday and Thursday evenings to provide a place for you to share with others some of the difficulties you’re experiencing as a family member or friend of someone living with cancer.
Cancer Support for Kids
Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids offers several cancer support groups on Thursday evenings for children impacted by cancer. We welcome kids of all ages to learn, share, and play together with other children also on this difficult journey. Kids who have cancer as well as kids who have family members or friends living with cancer are invited to attend.
